Interested in serving on the PTSA Board for 2013-2013?

Here is some basic information:

The time commitment varies by position. The most time-intensive positions are Program Chair, President, Secretary, Treasurer and Auditor. All member are expected to attend PTSA-sponsored events and will be asked to volunteer more hours in peak times (Fitness Run, Membership Drive, Bingo Night, etc.).
We meet during the day, once per month for about an hour and half. This meeting time was chosen to allow our Principal and Student Reps to attend.

Our goal for the Chaboya PTSA board is to encourage a variety of backgrounds and skill sets to contribute to the success of Chaboya. Please take a moment to answer the following:

Which Elementary School did your child attend? *
How many years would you like to serve on the Chaboya PTSA board? *
Meetings are scheduled on a weekday in the morning to allow the Principal and Student Reps to attend. Will this work with your schedule? *
List any other things that might be be important - other school volunteer work you've done, your interests, any professional skills (like finance or accounting),etc.

The Chaboya PTSA provides additional funding to create the types of additional enrichment programs usually only seen in private schools, and we need your help!

Through membership and donations from families, the PTSA funds the following enrichment programs:

P.E. equipment and after school sports programs, preparing your child to succeed at a competitive high school level
Classroom and library materials, including document cameras and projectors, enabling interactive teaching that connects with your student more effectively
Educational programs such as the Spelling Bee and Literacy Night, encouraging your child to pursue his/her interests
Enrichment Programs such as the Multicultural Event and Drama/Theatre performances, creating a sense of school community and pride
